Will McCranie has been a gigging musician for nearly 25 years, including an 8 year stint based in New York City, where he landed a publishing deal with Fieldhouse/BMG and consistently toured - performing nearly 200 gigs a year. Upon returning to Augusta, he learned the world of event production and promotion through working with Gluestick Music, Adams Entertainment, and Friends With Benefits Productions. He’s been blessed with the opportunity to work on productions for artists including Umphrey’s McGee, The Avett Brothers, Jason Mraz, Ben Folds, Brothers Osborne, Gov’t Mule, The Flaming Lips, Galactic, Lil Uzi Vert, Ms. Sharon Jones, Kid Rock, Shooter Jennings, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain String Band, Jon Pardi, and more…
In addition to his own artistic pursuits, Will is an MBA prepared business development and marketing professional with nearly 20 years of experience in startups, healthcare, nonprofits. He has worked with clients in a wide variety of industry verticals - legal professionals, healthcare, salon & spa, food & beverage, churches, magazines, professional moving services, concert & event promoters, bands & musicians, guitar manufacturers, and retail. Projects have included marketing consulting, business & creative writing, social media management, web design (self-proclaimed Squarespace whisperer), paid search/display advertising, street team & volunteer team management, on-site event production, live music booking, creative writing, and more.
Will is also a contributing music columnist for Augusta Magazine, is a member of the Leadership Augusta Class of 2025 & Leadership Columbia County 2026, and serves on the boards of 12 Bands of Christmas and the Greater Augusta Arts Council.
